The Founders
Michael Skelton
Michael Skelton has over 30 years of technology business experience. He has raised millions of dollars of venture capital and private equity to start new technology companies and turnaround struggling businesses. Mr. Skelton has been an executive in two technology company IPOs and has orchestrated several M&A transactions.
His background includes being President and CEO of three software companies CaminoSoft, Menta Software and Trace Point Technology as well as the VP/General Mmanager of the Laser Optic Filing Systems division of Tab Products Company. As a VP and Director level executive he has lead sales, marketing, business development and field operations for companies including Net Manage, Santa Cruz Operations (SCO), Entre Computer Centers and Altos Computer Systems.
Mr. Skelton's background also includes interim executive level business consulting for Neopost (French company), Brixlogic (French company), GA eXpress (U.S. public company) and Holontech (Japanese company).
Michael Skelton has a degree in Business Administration from Western Michigan University.
Per Åhlström
Per Åhlström is well known in Swedish journalism. He has worked as editor-in-chief for Swedish magazines and newspapers for 20 years and has been one of the most respected political commentators in Sweden.
Most recently he had been self-employed as a management consultant in decision-making. In co-operation with professor Victor H. Vroom at the Yale School of Management he has written a book on the subject. He has also written a leadership book for politicians: "Power play, Role play, Determination - politics in practice" along with co-author Mona Hillman Pinheiro.
Mr. Åhlström has also worked in the field of regional policy and SME financing and has built a network with financial institutions and business incubators in Sweden. This work resulted in the publishing of a book on pension fund management, "The People's Capital", for the Euresa Institute in Paris, France, and a book on employee ownership in the U.S. and Canada.
Per Åhlström was educated at the Chalmers Technical University and holds a degree in journalism from the University of Gothenburg.
